Delete your account

How to have your Seagate Works account and the data held with it removed — and the few records we are required to keep.

Last updated 7 October 2026.

This page covers the Seagate Works account you use in the Seagate Works app and the member portal.

How to do it yourself

In the app: open the You tab, scroll to Delete your account and tap it. You will be shown exactly what is deleted and what we have to keep, and asked to confirm. It happens immediately.

In the member portal: go to your profile, open Delete your account at the bottom, and type DELETE to confirm. Same thing, same moment.

You do not need to ask anyone's permission and you do not need to give a reason. Your sign-in stops working straight away.

If you would rather we did it for you, email hello@seagateworks.com from the address your account uses, or ask at the front desk. If you write from a different address we will confirm your identity first — otherwise anyone could close your account for you.

What is deleted

Your sign-in and your member record, including your name, email address, phone number and profile photo; your directory entry, headline and bio; your posts and replies in the community feed; your direct messages; your check-in history; your notification settings; and the device registrations that let the app send you push notifications. Your past room bookings stop being associated with you.

What we have to keep

Mail and virtual office records. United States Postal Service rules for commercial mail receiving agencies require us to hold your completed USPS Form 1583 and the identification you gave with it for the period those rules require after mail service ends. We cannot delete those earlier, and we hold them in private storage that is never served from a public address.

Billing and accounting records. Invoices, payments and the membership they relate to are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Payment card details are held by Stripe and are never stored by us.

Nothing in this section is used to contact you or to market to you after your account is deleted.

Deleting some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to choose all or nothing. Email hello@seagateworks.com and tell us what you want removed — for example your profile photo, your bio, a particular community post, or your phone number — and we will remove it and confirm, leaving the rest of your membership as it is.

The same exceptions apply: the USPS Form 1583 records and the billing records described above have to stay for as long as those rules require.

Some things you can change yourself without asking. In the app under You, you can switch off your directory entry, hide when you are in, and stop sharing your contact details; you can also delete your own community posts from the Community tab. The same switches are in the member portal under your profile.

If you are on a company membership

Deleting your own account does not cancel your company's membership or affect your colleagues. If you administer the company account, tell us what should happen to it and we will confirm before acting.

You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct it, without deleting anything — see our privacy policy. Members can switch off directory visibility, presence and contact sharing themselves in the app under You, with no request needed.
